About NLWA
The North London Waste Authority (NLWA) is a statutory public authority dedicated to serving over two million residents in Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, and Waltham Forest. Our mission is to preserve resources and the environment today and for future generations. We prioritize innovation and meticulous planning to effectively and sustainably manage waste resources.
About the campaign
NLWA committed, as part of the Waste Prevention Plan, to promote reusable period products as an alternative to single-use options. The Reduce, Reuse, Your Cycle campaign was designed through the application of behavioural science and seeks to increase the purchase and use of reusable period products in north London. The campaign aims to decrease the purchase and use of single-use period products, leading to a reduction in the generation of single-use plastic waste and the negative environmental consequences associated with their consumption.
